Berkshire County Rite of Passage Cultural and Educational Development Program

Purpose

  1. To emphasize the holistic; mind, body, and spirit, self-discovery of each participant culminating in the confident response to her inner voice, individual expression and all components of personal development.

  2. To celebrate and honor the entry of adolescent girls into womanhood.

  3. To provide girls and women with skills and knowledge to be successful, independent and responsible.

When           

  • The spring 2010 session is wrapping up in May.

  • The fall 2010 session will begin in September. Check back here for dates.

  • Classes are Saturday 10:00 - 12:00 AM

  • Program is open to High school age only -14 & up

Closing Activities Celebrate cultural art; NY City Broadway shows, Museum or BAM Round out holistic self development. Accountability - students must attend 6 of 8 sessions to be eligible for trip  
  Celebration and Recognition program Express inner voice - students perform original works  
  Annual HBCU Tour Eye to College Accountability: Students must attend 6 of 8 sessions to be eligible for tour $200.00 per student for college tour to Atlanta, GA
